Founder of Pala Communication

Tonia East has been working with young adults and college-age adults
professionally for eight years. She is currently working with new adults as
the Speech Program Coordinator and professor of Speech
Communication, in which she teaches Public Speaking, Voice and
Diction, and Business and Professional Communication. She also works
with junior high and high school youth. Ms. East is an accomplished
public speaker and is invited to speak to young adults and new adults
about spiritual issues as well as ways to communicate more effectively in
relationships, business, or family situations. Which is what lead her to
write her first book,
Changing Lanes: A New Adults' Guide to
Understanding Their Lane in Life
.

Pala Communication was founded to bring the skills and training used in
academia to the marketplace, where people are required to have effective
communication skills on a daily basis.

What does Pala mean?

Pala is Hebrew for something that is great, wonderful, marvelous or
miraculous. This word is often used biblically in reference to something
that exceeds common expectations. For example the inspiration for the
company came from the following verse.

This is the Lord's work and it is marvelous in our eyes. Ps. 118:23

Many people feel that it is impossible for them to be able to clearly and
effectively communicate their message before the masses or even a
small group of people, but we believe with the proper training nothing is
impossible.
